1. How much is the Franchise Fee?
The franchise fee for
your 5 & Diner Restaurant is $35,000.
The franchise fee pays for the initial license to use
the 5 & Diner Restaurant
name and trademark, hands-on training, site assistance
and other pre-opening services, access to our confidential
operations manual and initial promotional strategies,
and other services to help you get started in your 5
& Diner restaurant business.
2. What about other costs?
Investments vary, depending
on unit size and local conditions. The following cost
is based on a new freestanding 5 & Diner.
The cost for an inline Diner would be far less than the
cost stated here. The estimated investment required of
a franchisee opening a new 5 & Diner Restaurant

3. Can a 5 & Diner be located
in a Shopping Mall or a strip center? Yes, A full service
5 & Diner can be put inside a Shopping
Mall as well as a 5 & Diner Express
that has a limited menu. The cost for these 5
& Diners will very greatly, but will be far
less than a freestanding building and cost can only be
estimated on a site-by-site basis.
4. What is the charge for continuing
services?
Individual franchisees
pay a weekly 5% royalty fee based on adjusted gross sales
derived from their 5 & Diner restaurant
franchise exclusive of sales tax, use tax or service taxes.
This fee covers the continued use of the 5 &
Diner Restaurant name and trademark, access to
our operation methods, marketing assistance, ongoing support
and other benefits that come with being a part of the
5 & Diner Restaurant system. As the
manual is updated, revisions will be made available to
you.
5. What about advertising?
Building recognition
for the 5 & Diner brand is essential.
Our objective is to benefit everyone involved in the system.

6. Do I receive training from 5 & Diner
licensing corporation? You
and your management team will attend an initial training
and familiarization course of up to five weeks (or as
otherwise deemed appropriate by the franchisor) at one
of our 5 & Diner Restaurants. This
course is designed to provide you with an understanding
of the administrative and technical aspects of running
your own 5 & Diner Restaurant. The
cost for the initial training is included in your franchise
fee, however, those costs related to travel and lodging
will be at your expense. In addition, you may also be
required to attend refresher courses from time to time
to keep you abreast of the latest information involving
5 & Diner Restaurant store operations.
7. Do I receive assistance in opening
my business?
Absolutely. 5
& Diner of North America, LLC
will help you conduct the opening, which is designed to
build your customer base quickly. In addition to your
initial training period,5
& Diner of North America, LLC will send a team of its trained representatives
to work with you at your facility for a period of up to
twenty-one working days (or as otherwise deemed necessary

8. What form of continuing guidance
will I receive?
As a 5 &
Diner franchise owner, you will receive periodic
scheduled visits from a trained representative of 5 & Diner of North America, LLC that will provide
experienced guidance and answer any questions you may
have. You will also receive a copy of a confidential operations
manual covering the policies and procedures involved in
running your 5 & Diner franchise.
9. What is the term of the 5 &
Diner franchise agreement?
The initial term of the
5 & Diner franchise agreement is
twenty years. The franchise is renewable for those who
meet our renewal criteria.
10. What is the average size of a 5 & Diner Restaurant?
The typical 5 & Diner restaurant
is 3,200 square feet and has a seating capacity of 110
seats.
